Saturday Rehearsal for the Massed Sing

We have six videos of the Massed Sing Rehearsal . . . here presented in the order they appear in the Street Choirs Festival Brochure:
Hark I hear a Joyful Song
Keep on Moving Forward
Citizens Shanty
We’re sorry, but we don’t have a video of Storm Song.
Hold On, in its entirety, including the Gaelic version.
Hope Lingers On
Freedom Come All Ye
Saturday Massed Sing
We’re hoping for a video of the Massed Sing in front of the Band Pavilion at Dock Park. In the meantime, OotNAboot Dumfries have been at the Band Pavilion and also around the town catching a variety of Street Singing sites. And Sally Hinchcliffe has posted a thought-provoking piece at cityexile.wordpress.com with a continuation clip of Citizens Shanty and dramatically improved sound. Also, Hugh Taylor of CelticMusicRadio.net has presented a program (Tuesday 16th June) on that channel (details on our Latest Announcements page) where in addition to a clip of the kind and well-received welcome by Provost Tracey Little, he serves clips of all the Massed Sing numbers including Freedom Come All Ye and Hold On.
Thanks to the Dot Crotchets & The Raging Harmonies, we have an image of Dumfries’ Provost in the Band Pavilion after addressing the crowd, and after the Massed Sing with the Dots themselves and Kate.

And here, ever so timely (thank you Clare Scott and Pia Gillsäter) are clips of Hope Lingers On and also of HoldOn, and our last number Freedom Come All Ye, from the Massed Sing, for us to have, to hold, and to serve:

Meanwhile, do feast on some videos of participating choirs on the streets of Dumfries, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, thanks again to Claire Scott. Apologies if I’ve got the names wrong — please email me with the correct designation and I will try to correct promptly! And don’t forget to scroll down through the video collection for more inages of the Street Singing that we’ve gathered. After that image gallery, we present some more videos of choirs performing in the marathon Saturday afternoon/evening concert at Easterbrook Hall.
