Our MD encourages us to sing a wide variety of songs ranging from pop classics to Georgian carols and includes an occasional composition of our own about things that matter to us. |

We have around 80 members with a wide range of ages and backgrounds (and we are lucky to have a large number of men within the choir). We welcomed our new MD in August 2025, Rob Stonewood, who has been received very enthusiastically, taking the choir to new levels. Our repertoire ranges from mediaeval Latin chants to 21st-century pop. We sing in languages from all over the world, too. |

Corista, Hebden Bridge | We are a group of singers from the upper Calder valley, based in Hebden Bridge, who meet together and rehearse every week. We love to sing and perform music from around the world, including shape note pieces, contemporary songs with a political edge, and folk songs in various languages. We have performed at open mic nights, folk festivals, charity benefit concerts, and many Street Choirs festivals. Beginning with a small group of around 20 the choir has now grown to nearly 60 members. The cohesion and warmth of our sound is something that can only be evoked by a true community choir. Richard remains our musical director and his skill for arranging keeps us on our toes by challenging us musically , meanwhile keeping our audiences entertained. From traditional to modern we sing a wide variety of songs and our eclectic mix is something we pride ourselves on. Our choir likes to create a joyful and harmonious sound performing in many different venues and raising money for charity. |
